On 1st November 2003, 14-year-old Charlene Downes went missing in Blackpool and 15 years later is still missing, believed murdered.  Her mother, Karen, has now written about her family's heartbreak and despair, and the disgraceful attitudes of all the 'professional' agencies - the police, the courts, the justice system, the MSM and press, and the Social Services - in her book Sold in Secret.  She writes...

"It was as if there was no-one who cared about Charlene, no one willing to help us in any way. I was so, so desperate for help, and utterly despairing at the complete lack of justice for my daughter. It was at this point, at the start of 2011, when I felt so devastated at the lack of police support, the lack of justice for my murdered daughter, that I was contacted by a man called Tommy Robinson. He was from the EDL, the English Defence League, an organisation I had never heard of before. I told him so, and in return, he told me that he wanted to arrange a protest in Charlene's name to appeal for justice. I couldn't believe it - here was this random stranger offering to help get the word out there, offering more than anyone else had done for me. He asked me to attend, and I said yes ... That same week, a couple of police officers called round [concerned about the EDL march] but by now, I was way past putting my trust in them. I went ahead and attended the protest ...

"On the day itself, in May 2011, I didn't know what to expect and I was nervous. As I reached the crowd, I realised this was far bigger than I had expected. There were hundreds upon hundreds of protestors, many of them wearing: 'Justice for Charlene' T-shirts. In total, I was told there were 2,000 people, all gathered together for my daughter. I was overwhelmed - I couldn't believe so many people had come out. The next day, I hurried to the newsagent's and Charlene's photo was on the front page of our local newspaper - exactly what I wanted to happen. The world was finally listening ... There was another protest which [my daughter] Becki attended with me. At the end of it, Charlene's name was in the newspapers once again; she was even on TV.  Word spread of our fight for justice. This was all I ever wanted.

"I was staggered by the huge police presence in Blackpool and I reminded myself bitterly how few officers had been allocated to look for Charlene when she went missing. There was a ring of steel around the takeaways and the alleyways and it incensed me.  What about protecting our children instead?" [pp242-4].

"I also met with the then leader of the British National Party (BNP), Nick Griffin. By then I had learned not to rely on the reliable, and instead to expect help in the most unexpected of places ... I was interviewed by Nick on October 2011 on Charlene's memorial bench ... Nick spoke of the Asian [sic] grooming gangs and the dozens of girls in Blackpool apparently caught up in the abuse ... It was always the most sanctimonious of twits who were ready to condemn but weren't actually prepared to offer any help themselves. Anxious not to offend the offenders, they didn't seem to give two hoots about the victims ...

"One of the final things the BNP did for my campaign for justice was to set up a meeting for me with Nazir Afzal, the North West's Chief Crown Prosecutor. He was, I was told, famous for campaigning on issues around child sexual exploitation ... The next day, my meeting with Mr Afzal was uploaded to a YouTube channel and the response was huge. A reporter from The Times knocked on my door and asked why I was working with the BNP.  'I can't get Theresa May to see me, so the BNP will have to do!' I snapped. 'And until the b***** BBC start showing an interest, I will have to make do with YouTube to get my point across!'  I was so angry. No one wanted to help me, it seemed. The reporter didn't seem to understand that he and his sort were both the cause of the problem and the solution" [pp.245-8].

Multiculturalism: The Rape of an Entire Nation

"In a settled society with a common culture, rape is a direct assault on the home culture, and thus does not happen too often, as the rapist is punished, both legally and socially. In a multicultural society, and particularly one in which Islam is in the mix, rape is not just of an individual woman, but an assault on the honour and pride of another tribe. That is how Muslims see it, and we know this as they engage in 'honour' killings.

"In a genuine tribal society, such an assault would be avenged fairly quickly by violence and retaliatory rapes. Thus, to achieve some degree of stability in a multi-tribal (read multicultural) society, it requires that men of the tribe take direct action to protect their tribe by violence against an offending tribe.

"What we have now in the UK is the worst of all possible scenarios. We have Muslim immigrants who view women with contempt. Muslims also view rapes as an act of contempt on Infidel society (tribe). The rapist may be punished with a derisory sentence, but is held in respect within his own 'tribe'. Meanwhile, 'Men of the West' have been neutered by decades of feminist and socialist propaganda, thus making any retaliatory action well nigh impossible. Thus, all impediments to rape have been removed.

"What we have created is not just a rapist's paradise but the rape of an entire nation. Sweden has been the rape capital of Europe for at least ten years. Fjordman [also here and here] has been pointing this out for virtually the same time. In Britain, the systematic brutal gang rapes of young non-Muslim girls by Pakistani Muslims had been going on for decades. In all cases the police and political authorities knowingly ignored the cries of the victims.

"The news only broke when the EDL started to protest about the gang rapes of working class girls. The authorities' and media response was to besmirch the EDL as right wing Nazis, arrest Tommy Robinson, and 'kettle' EDL demonstrations. And as the news was now out, they admitted that they had kept quiet about the gang rapes because they didn't want to be perceived as 'racists'. This doesn't wash on any ground.

• What sort of people are these media and authority types that willingly and knowingly ignored the cries and tears of young girls over decades?
• And the claim that they didn't want to be perceived as 'racist' is a cowardly reason to give, that is, trying to hide their cowardice, and disgusting politically expedient behaviour behind what they believe will be perceived as a good cause of non-racism."
