"When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing is to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed" [Theodore Dalrymple].
"In the universities, in the churches, in the corporations, in the professional associations, in the editorial offices, in the game studios, and just about everywhere else you can imagine, free speech and free thought are under siege by a group of fanatics as self-righteous as Savonarola, as ruthless as Stalin, as ambitious as Napoleon, and as crazy as Caligula. They are the Social Justice Warriors, the SJWs, the self-appointed thought police who have been running amok throughout the West since the dawn of the politically correct era in the 1990s" [Vox Day, SJWs Always Lie: Taking Down the Thought Police].
"There is no 'Hate Speech'. There are just immoral laws introduced recently, designed to restrict our rights to freely express ourselves. Euripides was right: - 'It is slavery not to speak one's thoughts' ... All honourable men and women should reject the concept of 'hate speech' and act - speak - as though it is lawful to say whatever it is one wishes to say (but don't advocate violence). It is our duty to future generations. Free speech - use it or lose it" [comment at source].
"It's a very odd situation in the year 2020 that we in Britain (and the West) are having to defend free-speech. And it's not just the war on free-speech that is so strange - it's the fact that the Establishment is trying its hardest to replace free-speech with Soviet-style 'government-approved speech'. This is the most dangerous and pernicious political development of our lifetime, because a country without free-speech is on the road to serfdom. This is why we must resist" [comment at source].

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead! (12 April 2013)
"The BBC should allow the song Ding Dong the Witch is Dead to be played in its regular charts show if enough people vote to have it featured. This is a matter of freedom of speech, and freedom of speech is indivisible. You can't say that people should be allowed to express only those things of which you approve but that they must remain silent about what you dislike..."
Luton Borough Council: Billboard Vandals? (11 November 2012)
"The websites for British freedom, the English Defence League, and Kevin Carroll have been under heavy DDOS attack for weeks. The EDL site was hacked by Pakistani Muslims, Kevin Carroll - who is running as the BF candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner in Bedfordshire - has had his campaign billboards in Luton destroyed. These vicious and unremitting attacks are proof that the EDL and BF are being effective in their efforts. The establishment is unable to present any meaningful counterarguments, so it resorts to underhanded and illegal methods in an attempt to put these brave patriots out of action..."

The Real Hate Crime is Persecuting a Decent Man For His Beliefs (19 October 2012)
"Adrian Smith is a kind and gentle man. Friends say the happily married father is a pillar of the community, a practising Christian and a tireless worker for charity. Yet this week Mr Smith was in court, defending accusations that he is a bigot whose personal views are so offensive and outrageous that they are incompatible with his work as a housing officer. His crime?..."
The 'Diversity' Police Strike Again (13 October 2012)
"In the upside down, gay [sic] activist lexicon, tolerance means intolerance, inclusivity means exclusivity, and diversity means my way or the highway. Anti-Fascists Are Killing Free Speech (01 October 2012)
"Activists who call on the state to arrest and imprison 'fascists' for their speech crimes should look up irony in the dictionary. ... Are Britain's anti-fascist groups so blinkered, so convinced that the state is on their side and that they are the bearers of the Truth, that they can make statements celebrating the curbing of someone's free speech without even the slightest twinge of irony?..."
Ban Incitement to Hate, Violence & Intolerance in America? (01 October 2012)

Are Radical Imams Going to Redefine Freedom of Speech? (20 September 2012)
"Now there are threats of violence directed against France for the publication of a cartoon depicting the prophet Mohammed in violation of Islamic law. The Freedom to be Silenced (17 September 2012)
"In March 1937, the State Department apologized on behalf of the United States to Adolf Hitler for comments made about him by the Mayor of New York City, Fiorello LaGuardia. ... 75 years later the great tradition of American diplomats apologizing to mass murderers for the American tradition of freedom of speech remains alive and well..."
Islam and the Offence Industry (16 September 2012)

U.S. on Wrong Side of Cairo Embassy Riot (11 September 2012)
"As the restless, masked throngs gathered outside the walls yesterday, U.S. Embassy officials issued a statement surrendering America's unapologetic defense of free speech. ... You have to read it twice to believe it. Then you still cannot believe it. But, yes, your embassy, representing your government, funded by your tax dollars, just sided with the thieving rioters. Yes, your government just established the first limit on free speech we have ever known..."

What's That Noise? They're Building a Coffin for Liberty (26 July 2012)
"Is it in the film of 'Far from the Madding Crowd' that the closing scenes show Farmer Boldwood, condemned to death for the murder of a rival in love, sitting gaunt in his narrow cell, listening to the prison carpenter making his coffin? Something like that. This rather unpleasant image comes to mind again as I read a pamphlet I wrongly neglected when it first came out 'The Rise of the Equalities Industry' by Peter Saunders..."
Liberty Lost (31 May 2012)
"Back in 2001, Britain's political parties signed a fantastic pledge. They agreed to say nothing to 'stir up racial or religious hatred, or lead to prejudice on grounds of race, nationality or religion.' This gag order did more than keep the parties polite. Vital issues ... were officially banned. Thus, such concerns became impermissible thoughts. Not that such thoughts weren't already thoughtcrime, as George Orwell would have put it. But this unprecedented pledge turned 'violators' into political lepers. I thought of that elite code of cowardice this week when a London judge sentenced a 42-year-old British secretary ... to 21 weeks in jail..."
"It is a question of impartiality, which matters profoundly in political processes where force and influence compete with manipulation and facts: if an organisation with quasi-judicial authority professes to be objective in its investigations, then its senior staff and officers must not only be impartial, they must also be seen to be impartial. There cannot be even the merest hint of a political agenda subverting that professed neutrality or corrupting the overriding commitment to fairness and justice..."
The ASA Responds to His Grace (17 May 2012)
"The ASA has kindly responded to His Grace ... and they appear to have opted for Discursive Deflection Letter No. 17b, which incorporates expressions of absolute acuity patronisingly written in sentences of monosyllabic nothingness as though the recipient were a moron. ASA - His Grace Responds (14 May 2012)
"Dear Investigations Executive, ... His Grace thanks you for your email of 10th May, ... Advertising Standards Authority Persecutes His Grace (11 May 2012)
"Apparently there have been a number of complaints about one of the advertisements His Grace carries on behalf of the Coalition for Marriage. He has been sent all manner of official papers, formal documentation and threatening notices which demand answers to sundry questions by a certain deadline. He is instructed by the 'Investigations Executive' of this inquisition to keep all this confidential. However, since His Grace does not dwell in Iran, North Korea, Soviet Russia, Communist China, or Nazi Germany, but occupies a place in the cyber-ether suspended somewhere between purgatory and paradise, he is minded to ignore that request..."

Europe's Auto-Immune Disease (17 April 2012)
"In decadent Europe, freedom of speech is dying. Loudly trumpeted as a 'human right' for any attacks on America, Israel, Christians or any of the core values of the West, it is swiftly transformed into 'hate speech' and the shutters are slammed down on the speaker whenever Islam is in the frame..."
Equality as an Evil: the Moral Scourge of Modernity (13 April 2012)
"The dominant ideology of modern Western societies upholds equality as an absolute moral good, which must, therefore be pursued for its own sake. The morality of egalitarianism is never questioned by the establishment power structure or by the vast majority of citizens; it is, in fact, a taken for granted assumption that exists outside the scope of acceptable debate..."
The Left's Orwellian Censorship Campaign (05 April 2012)

A sentiment more unworthy of a free country could hardly be propagated. War has indeed been declared. Channing's contemporary liberal counterparts have declared a war for our culture..."
"In 1742, David Hume could write, 'Nothing is more apt to surprise a foreigner, than the extreme liberty, which we enjoy in this country, of communicating whatever we please to the public, and of openly censuring every measure, entered into by the king or his ministers.' Hume may have overstated his case somewhat, ... But ... To a foreigner fond of British culture, not least its tradition of liberty, Hume's words now evoke a mixture of sadness and bewilderment..."

Gagging Us Softly (29 April 2011)
"In this anniversary week, it's sobering to reflect that one of the more perverse consequences of 9/11 has been a remorseless assault on free speech throughout the west. The Compensation Culture (No Date)
"The Compensation Culture has been the inevitable follow up to political correctness. Where peoples' 'politically correct' rights are infringed then it is only 'right' that they can claim compensation. Some of this is written into UK laws (such as the employment legislation) but most of it seems to be enshrined within the Human Rights Act..."

The BBC Prefers Terrorists (09 May 2018)
"Around 5,000 people held a free speech rally in central London featuring major speakers and the BBC along with every other major broadcaster ignored it. This should be surprising. After all the BBC is supposedly the archetype liberal media body in the UK and free speech is a core liberal value. In Britain today: ordinary conservative speakers are getting barred from the country; university debates are getting shut down by black-shirted goons; ... The right to freedom of speech is being stolen away from us and the BBC ignoring such a topical and important event should be surprising. But it isn't..."
Sunday's Freedom Rally (09 May 2018)
"'Without freedom of speech, we have nothing.' Somebody else must have got there first - if not, I claim it. The lefties were so astoundingly stupid as to oppose, and try to silence, an event calling for freedom of speech. ... I'd asked a few who I'd scattered within the Whitehall crowd to keep an eye out for fascistic HateHotHope/Momentum/ANTIFA infiltrators on 'our' side of the police line, and to photograph them. The lefties would reveal themselves by making Nazi salutes or similar, to be picked up by hostile cameras waiting for just that. ... we got no MSM coverage at all apart from Breitbart and a misleading Grauniad article (is there any other sort?) replete with contrived photos - a low, rear viewpoint arguable chosen so a as to downplay the number of attendees..."
4000+ People Vanish in London on a Sunday Afternoon (07 May 2018)
"It's a remarkable tale worthy of a piece of fiction by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I refer to the strange case of the 4000+ people who went to Whitehall on Sunday afternoon and then, mysteriously, vanished into the media ether. Here is the last known image of the missing in action:..."
Tommy Robinson at #DayForFreedom (06 May 2018)
"Activist Tommy Robinson has told the #DayForFreedom free speech rally in London that he's taking Twitter to court, to prove the social media giant is treating 'facts' as 'hate' at the behest of a censorious British government ... He pointed out that Hamas, Hezbollah, and other proscribed radical Islamic terror groups are still on the platform, but that the priority seems to be 'silencing and stopping people like me ... This is Government interference with private companies to remove certain people's views, which is fascism'..."
Thousands March in Free Speech Protest (06 May 2018)
"Thousands marched through London under the banner of free speech on Sunday after Tommy Robinson, a former leader of the far-right [sic] EDL, was permanently banned from Twitter. Look at what we've got here today; thousands of honest, decent, patriotic people who don't need to be policed; and what have you got down that end?: you've got the masked, cowardly thugs who want to stop you asserting your right to free speech. Now, what is free speech? We've all turned out today to celebrate it..."
"The KCL clash last night reminds us ... that anti-fascist activism today is no longer about fighting FOR freedom or AGAINST fascists: it's an activity in shutting down anyone these people disagree with ... Here's hoping students continue to stand up to these censorious protesters and the SUs who enable them" [source].
Decency's Fight Back Against the Left (13 March 2018)
"In scenes reminiscent of Nazi thugs smashing a Jewish shop in Berlin, Antifa an allegedly antifascist organization dedicated to the intimidation and silencing of political opponents, broke up a public discussion about freedom of speech between Sargon of Akkad and Israeli Professor Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand think tank at Kings College London last week..."
"The snowflakes who landed on the meeting at KCL like wet sleet are not important; they will wash away like water. they are strangely close to the imperialists exemplified by Cecil Rhodes who they so despise ... There is silliness and sadness in this but also danger. The Left has turned away from the centre ground, not to embrace political reality but fantasy. While they make idiotic gestures they ignore the dangerous new alliance forming between Russia, Iran, Syria and Turkey. They ignore tyranny which created more migration and instability, and they will not face up to radicalisation among migrants in the West..."

"The left-wing thugs used fire alarms, smoke bombs, and loudhailers to disrupt proceedings, shouting 'no fascists on campus' and 'no free speech for the Alt-Rights'. ... "In this episode, Yaron recaps what happened at King's College and the details of Antifa's attack during a free speech discussion." [NB: video starts at 50 seconds]
"The UK is a free country because there is freedom of speech, thought, conscience, and belief, but these freedoms are under attack ... Universities should be places where students learn how to think. Many have instead become places where students are programmed with politically correct groupthink, where deviation from the politically correct narrative is a punishable offence ... University students are adults: if they can't listen to an opinion that they don't agree with without needing to go to their safe space, then they shouldn't be at university. Nobody is going to agree with every opinion they hear, but students should not be mollycoddled. They do not need protection from being offended. This is particularly true for most visiting speakers: students normally have a choice as to whether they go to listen to them or not. There is no reason to 'no platform' a visiting speaker unless they are inciting violence. If freedom of speech is eroded, either actively or passively, then we replace it with totalitarianism, where everybody is required to have the same opinion and thoughts" [source].

"The Frankfurt School believed that as long as an individual had the belief - or even the hope of belief - that his divine gift of reason could solve the problems facing society, then that society would never reach the state of hopelessness and alienation that they considered necessary to provoke socialist revolution.
Their task, therefore, was as swiftly as possible to undermine the Judaeo-Christian legacy. To do this they called for the most negative destructive criticism possible of every sphere of life which would be designed to de-stabilize society and bring down what they saw as the 'oppressive' order. Their policies, they hoped, would spread like a virus - 'continuing the work of Western Marxists by other means' as one of their members noted.
To further the advance of their 'quiet' cultural revolution ... the [Frankfurt] School recommended (among other things):
(1) the creation of racism
One of the main ideas of the Frankfurt School was to exploit Freud's idea of 'pansexualism' - the search for pleasure, the exploitation of the differences between the sexes, the overthrowing of traditional relationships between men and women. To further their aims they would:
the authority of the father, deny the specific roles of father and
mother, and wrest away from families their rights as primary
educators of their children,
"There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state:
"Woe unto them that call evil
good, and good evil;
