One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life (Psalm 27:4)                 Bayith Ministries

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them ...
is like a [wise] man which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundations on a rock:
and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it:
for it was founded upon a rock
(Luke 6:47-48)

Let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ
(1 Corinthians 3:10b-11)

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)

May 2020 ~ This Month's Favourite Hymn

Master, the Tempest is Raging!
We need not fear anything - whether it be man, demons, or even coronaviruses

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"
(2 Timothy 1:7)

"As we walk by faith and experience God's faithfulness in trials, praise and worship well up within us.  Indeed, praise and worship are to play a significant role in the Christian life. Sadly, so many of today's praise and worship songs reflect the lack of depth in current Christianity.  Congregational singing often consists of empty, repetitive choruses which have taken the place of the old hymns of the faith.  Phrases are repeated again and again, such as 'We worship you, Lord, we praise you, Lord, we life your name on high, we lift our hands, we exalt you, etc'.  There is much clapping and swaying to the catchy tune and beat.  Yet the congregation and the 'worship team' seem oblivious of the fact that instead of truly praising and worshiping, they are merely singing words about praise and worship, without mentioning God's character, qualities, and deeds which evoke worship" [Dave Hunt, The Berean Call, {date}].

"Loving God is not having a hand-raising, hip-hopping, wave-making, emotional experience in a Hawaiian shirt and sandals before a rock band in some downtown arena ... The only true act of love, worship and service to God is obedience to His Word.  Everything else is distortion, distraction, deception, delusion and destruction"

"Services are not for entertainment, rather our worship of the living God"
[Dave Hunt, quoted in SGM church newsletter, June 1998].

Thus saith the LORD,
Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls
(Jeremiah 6:16)
